Business Development Manager


  • The identification and delivery of new customer accounts

  • Full ownership of the entire sales prospecting process, including the identification, qualification, presentation and negotiation of commercial contract terms

  • To promote ITS products and services via appropriate channels


  • Delivery of new customer accounts within the insurance, automotive and/or fleet sector on a B2B basis

  • Ensure that ITS are invited to participate in industry tenders

  • Ensure that all new account queries are handled within strict timescales and to high standards

  • Delivering against sales growth targets

  • Input into the company’s sales strategy and growth targets

  • Attend and participate at industry events within the UK and Europe promoting the company’s products and services to maximise sales opportunities and brand awareness

  • Work alongside the Commercial Director with acquiring new business opportunities

  • Assist with the company’s marketing efforts as and when required

  • Provide business feedback over the company’s products and services from the market to aid product development

  • To identify new and emerging markets, sales channels and opportunities

REPORTING TO: Commercial Director



  • A proven, documented history of sales success within a B2B environment within the insurance, automotive or fleet market

  • A proven track record of delivering new business growth and exceeding targets

  • Experience of selling within a telematics environment would be highly advantageous

  • Self-motivated individual and used to working alone and as part of a team

  • Expert negotiation techniques

  • Proficient networker

  • Excellent attention to detail 

  • Expert relationship building skills

  • Expert ability to communicate and influence

  • Expert presentation skills

  • Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment

  • Competent computer literacy with all major Microsoft Office packages



  • Full UK driving licence or access to transport as role requires travel across the UK.


HOURS: Core working hours 9.00am to 5.30pm (5:00 Friday) however a degree of flexibility is required in order to meet the demands of the business. 

LOCATION: The role can either be office based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire or remote working from anywhere within the UK; travel will be required to attend customer meetings and occasional travel into the office as required
